I linked some cute ones above and I can't wait to wear more over-sized sweaters this winter!!

Layers

Sweater: H&M ( similar here) | Plaid Shirt: Target | Jeans: Paige | Booties: Vince Camuto ( similar here) | Purse: Tory Burch | Necklace: Baublebar ( similar here)

This outfit that I wore last weekend is one of my favorite type of outfits to just throw on for a day out with my husband or friends! Its so relaxed, easy, and comfy! I have always love plaid shirts with denim and booties but since this day was a bit chilly, I layered on a sweater on top of my plaid shirt to keep me warm! Super easy and relaxed!

Just by changing out the jewelry or putting on a hat or scarf, you can change up simple outfits like this so easily!

Romper

Gaucho Romper: Nordstrom ( similar here) | Booties: Vince Camuto ( similar and so cute/on sale here) | Purse: Claire V. | Bracelet: Nine West, Kate Spade

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
This weekend we had two friends with birthdays so we pretty much celebrated all weekend long!
Was a tiring but very fun weekend =)

I fell in love with this Romper sometimes in the summer and I purchased it from Nordstrom but I just never had the chance to wear it and...now it became Fall :( Its supposed to be an off the shoulder style but since its not summer anymore, I hooked the sleeve part on to my shoulder and made it less "summer-y". I like to pair summer items with booties and red lipstick to transition them into fall/winter friendly items! If it was colder day, I would have worn a cardigan or a plaid button down shirt to keep me warm =)

Rain everyday

Dress: Uniqlo ( similar here) | Rain boots: Hunter | Cardigan: Old Navy | Bag: Tory Burch | Watch: Michael Kors | Ring: Bauble Bar

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Its been so rainy here in Charlotte that poor Dash has been stuck in the house for the past few weeks :( We found an indoor agility center close to our house so I am thinking of taking him there next week so he can get some exercise. I loved the rain the first couple of days but weeks and weeks of rain is just too much! Hope it stays sunny after today!

As I have probably said before, the only good thing that comes with rain is...that I get to wear these rain boots! Ever since I have owned these boots, I don't know how people live with out rain boots! lol I hate getting my other shoes wet so these Hunters are my go to! If you are thinking about getting them, here is an old post where I review these boots!

I went to Target the other day and as I was walking in, there was a little girl ( she seemed about 4 years old) walking with her mother and she told here mom " her rain boots are so pretty" I didn't hear her the first time so when they walked past me, her mom told me that her daughter thinks my boots are pretty and as I thanked the sweet little girl, I noticed that she too had pink rain boots on! I told the little girl that her boots are so pretty too and then she stomped around and...her heels light up!!! Her boots were definitely wayyy cooler than mine! hehe

Fall

Pants: Uniqlo (similar here and here )| Shirt: Old Navy ( old, similar here) | Shoes: Target ( similar here and here) | Hat: Target  | Bag: Prada ( similar here)

Happy Friday!!
Oh happy days! Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year! From the leaves turning colors to sipping hot coffee outside in the crisp weather, everything about Fall makes me so happy! Not to mention the Holiday season that is coming up ;)

Today's outfit definitely reminds me of the amazing Fall season!
Burgundy=Fall to me and I just LOVE pairing burgundy with darker clothing items!

Gaucho pants are also super in this fall season and when I went to Japan last month, I made sure to grab some ( the length matches my legs more than U.S sizes. petite problems :/ )
These are from Uniqlo ( they have multiple U.S locations too) and they are just so super comfy and the material is so nice! You can most definitely dress gauchos up with heels or booties and you can pair it with a chunky sweater for a more relaxed look =) I also am in LOVE with this hat! I grabbed it at Target a couple months ago ( it was still summer lol) but I am still so in love with it!! I have always loved wearing hats but this one is my favorite at the moment! I feel like hats  make any outfit more chic!

Lately

So, as most of you may have already figured out, I have been taking a major break from my blog for the past couple of months. ( I have been trying my best to update instagram as much as possible!)

So much has happened in the last two months that I had no time to take photos and blog daily. Just to update you guys on recent happenings, in August, Tim and I purchased our very first home together! ( eeekkk!!) Tim and I  have been living in apartments ever since we moved away for college when we were 18. We always talked about buying a house in the future but we were not sure what city we wanted to settle down in so we were waiting till we found a city that we absolutely loved! After living here in Charlotte, NC for over a year, we have decided that we LOVE this city and the family and friends we get to see all the time! So...although we are not planning to reside here forever, we decided to go ahead and start looking for houses. Also, another huge reason why we wanted to buy a house was for Dash. He has always lived in a small tiny apartment with us and we always dreamed of giving him a huge backyard where he can run around freely. ( He LOVES his backyard! Pictured above)
We closed on the house at the end of August and moved in mid September! Its been so new and exciting since then! ( I will hopefully do a post on the house and what we have done to it since we moved in )
I also threw two baby showers with friends for two of my amazing friends ( one in Sept. one in Oct) and traveled to Tokyo for two weeks with my family to see my other family and friends there. Also football season ( best season ever) started and so on and so forth.
It has been a super exciting and busy two months for us and that is my excuse on the break from A Dash of Lisa. hehe

I also have very exciting news to share!
Tim and I are opening a new restaurant here in Charlotte, NC ( South End). We have been working on it since January and we are so excited that we are near the end now! We are still under construction but we are aiming to open in the beginning of December! It will be a BBQ restaurant with an Asian flare. YUM! Charlotte folks, stay tuned for updates! =)

Thank ya'll for reading so much and hopefully I will update my blog more often now =)

Lisa
